WHAT IF? Two simple words that have the power to change everything!

Co-presented with Russ Onish (Vista Grande).

The historical promise of Category Management has been to improve business performance by meeting the emerging needs of consumers (now shoppers). Lately, the CPG industry has been challenged by accelerating disruptive change.

So why do most manufacturers and retailers devote so much time and effort looking backward, tinkering and tweaking, rather than bringing forward bold ideas based on fresh insights about emerging shopper trends? Has the proliferation of historical data and associated tools shifted our attention to the rear-view mirror? Has it made us risk-averse and more susceptible to disruption from companies with braver ideas and bolder strategies?

Please join The Kraft Heinz Company and Vista Grande as they illustrate how they’ve used WHAT IF thinking to develop future-forward initiatives, including a next-generation Mexican Foods Aisle Design. In addition to the specific details of these initiatives, we will suggest best practices for organizations of all sizes to improve their WHAT IF approach to category leadership.

Get inspired about enhancing your company’s WHAT IF mindset.

Andy is based in Chicago, where he has held various roles in sales finance, category leadership, and business development with progressively higher responsibility at Kraft Heinz over the last seven years. Andy has worked closely with marketing, consumer & shopper insights, and category leadership across Kraft Heinz’s vast portfolio. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Wesleyan University.
