Job Title: Business Development Executive

VideoMining is looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to grow our client base in the Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry for our market research services. The Sales Executive will work cooperatively with other members of the VideoMining team to grow our existing client base, hunt for new clients and meet or exceed annual sales quotas while increasing client satisfaction.

The individual in this role is a problem solver, who challenges client’s status quo, while positioning VideoMining’s solution as means to achieve breakthrough results. The business development executive is expected to develop account strategies for growth by identifying business issues across client functions and coordinating delivery of VideoMining’s data/insights to address those, on an ongoing basis. This role will partner with retailer/insights teams in a collaborative environment to drive revenue growth at existing and new CPG accounts.

Position Summary

Your responsibility will be to serve as the engagement lead, understand the client’s requirement (use cases), and successfully deliver our shopper insights solutions, leading to strong repeat rates, and account growth. In this role you will manage an existing client base as well as develop new client relationships.

The individual is expected to engage and build strong relationships with senior client executives across functions such as Shopper Insights, Category Management, Merchandising, Shopper Marketing, Sales and Innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets while maintaining long term partnerships with clients.
  1. Nurture prospects through continuous engagement and by leveraging VideoMining’s content and marketing strategy.
  1. Articulate the value of VideoMining’s services and consult with current and potential clients regarding their business issues and research objectives.
  1. Comfortably demonstrate the VideoMining solution specific to the client’s current needs/interest.
  1. Effectively following up with prospects to move towards a successful close.
  2. Coordinate delivery – provide guidance to our insights team so that deliverables meet client expectations, providing clear and actionable recommendations to the clients based on data analyses and industry knowledge.
  1. Lead client meetings and manage assigned relationships to grow business. Continue to be the point person to address ongoing queries from the client; ensure client usage and adoption of VideoMining’s contracted solution across client user groups.
  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client’s needs and requirements. Understand client’s business functions and develop a point of view on how VideoMining’s solutions can add value. Ensure long term account success and renewals.

Experience and Skills Required

  • An entrepreneurial spirit who will infuse their personality into the growing culture of VideoMining.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related area.
  • 6+ years of experience in consultative selling/business development, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPGs), Retail, or Market Research Industry.
  • Experience with CRM system such as Salesforce or Hubspot preferred.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Must be a creative problem solver who can drive account growth while adapting to new challenges.
  • Working knowledge of data/insights services designed for CPG retail such as Numerator, NIQ (Nielsen), Circana (IRI), Dunnhumby are a plus.
